Hi, I’m Kami! 

I’ve been grooming dogs for 23 years and have had the privilege of working with pets and their families throughout my career. I attended a formal grooming academy in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and have been grooming consistently here in Colorado Springs since 2006.

I often call myself a “lifetime groomer” because one of my biggest passions is introducing puppies to the world of grooming and helping them feel safe and comfortable with the process. Grooming is something they’ll need throughout their lives, and I believe it should feel like a normal, positive experience, not a punishment. Over the years, I’ve helped train many puppies in their table manners and have had the joy of watching so many of them grow into adulthood.

While I love working with puppies, senior pets are where I feel I truly shine. I am certified in Canine CPR and First Aid, as well as Geriatric Dog Grooming, and I’m deeply committed to making grooming as gentle, safe, and comfortable as possible for aging pets. Senior dogs have spent their lives giving so much love and loyalty to their families, and I see it as a privilege to give back to them by making their grooming experience peaceful and stress-free.

I’m comfortable working with all breeds and coat types, but I especially love creating teddy bear-style faces, detailed scissor work, feathering, and silhouette trims. I believe every pet and family has unique needs, so I work closely with my clients to understand their pet’s lifestyle, comfort level, and grooming goals. My goal is to build a relationship that supports your pet from puppyhood all the way into their senior years.

When I’m not in the salon, you’ll usually find me at home with my husband and 11-year-old daughter. One of my greatest joys is tending to my wildflower garden each summer. I especially love growing sunflowers and look forward to seeing new blooms every year. At home, we also have two cats, Cherie and Ambrosius (“Broshi”), who were both bottle-raised and absolutely spoiled. We’re hoping to add a dog to our family again soon.
