Hi, I'm Samantha — the proud owner of The Furologist and a passionate pet care professional with over nine years of hands-on experience in the grooming industry. My mission has always been simple: to blend beauty, wellness, and compassion in every grooming session, ensuring that each pet not only looks great but also feels their very best.

As a Certified Master Groomer, Canine Esthetician, Holistic Pet Care Specialist, and Geriatric Pet Certified professional, I bring a well-rounded approach to grooming that focuses on the individual needs of every animal. I’m also Safe Sanitation Certified, because I believe a clean, calm, and healthy environment is essential for both pets and their people.

My love for animals started early through years in dog 4-H, where I learned the importance of patience, responsibility, and the deep connection we share with our pets. Those formative experiences sparked a lifelong passion that eventually led me to pursue grooming as a career — and later, to open The Furologist, where I could create a space centered around care, creativity, and continued education.

Over the years, I’ve developed a strong interest in the holistic side of grooming, focusing on skin and coat health, natural products, and individualized care routines. I believe grooming should be more than just aesthetic — it’s an important part of a pet’s overall well-being. Whether I’m working with a high-energy puppy, a senior companion who needs a little extra TLC, or a pet with special skin needs, I strive to make every experience positive, comfortable, and enriching.

Owning The Furologist has allowed me to combine my technical expertise with my passion for education — mentoring new groomers, supporting pet parents, and building a community of care around every animal who walks through our doors.
